Clinical History:
A 53 year old female with left wrist pain for the past 4 months without any inciting event.
Diagnosis:
DeQuervain’s tenosynovitis
MR Technique:
3.0 Tesla scanner (Siemens Verio) using a wrist coil. Image 1& 2: Axial T2_TSE_FS_320 (TR/TE 4902.8/77 ms, scan time 4 min 25 sec, slice thickness 4 mm); Image 3: Coronal T2_TSE_FS_320 (TR/TE 4000/70 ms, scan time 3 min, slice thickness 3 mm).
Imaging Findings:
Thickening and abnormal signal are present within the abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis tendons, more severe in the abductor pollicis longus tendon. Surrounding fluid is also seen.
