Virginie Callot and her team at CMBM Aix-Marseille Université in France present a multi-parametric quantitative MRI protocol for cervical spinal cord 7T MRI to collect high-resolution anatomical, morphological and microstructural data. Such investigations could go further than purely descriptive reports based on anatomical imaging by studying specific sub-regions  impairments such as grey matter horn atrophy or anterior white matter tract degeneration, hence paving the way for new understandings of pathological processes.
